Listening to Karen Carpenter was a daily event in the O’Hara household, so much so, that the warm and rich tones of the timeless songstress had a massive influence on Maria’s own personal style. The music from the Carpenters often feature highly in Maria’s shows, and it is not unusual for clients to tell her that “If I close my eyes, I would think I was listening to Karen herself”.
Inspired by all the positive feedback and also driven by her love of performing the music, Maria decided to start a tribute to one of her biggest idols, Karen Carpenter.
